Terms & Conditions

  • Koppla cabins handle bookings from persons over 21 years of age. We reserve the right, without giving reasons, to refuse a booking. When you submit your booking through the online reservation system you will receive a confirmation e-mail, to the e-mail address provided. Please check the email for any errors. This email does not form a contract between you and Kopla cabins. Any issues must always be notified by email or telephone within 7 days following the receipt of the booking confirmation or before the start of your stay if that occurs within 7 days.

  • The cabins are designed for a maximum of two people, however, there is room for a travel cot if you wish to bring one.

    Check-in is from 4pm on the day of your arrival and check-out time is 10am. If you can, let us know roughly when you’ll arrive so that we can ensure the cabin is warm. We reserve the right to make a surcharge for a departure later than ten minutes from the agreed check-out time, as this adversely affects the quality of provision we are able to offer the next incoming guest.

  • Currently we aren’t allowing any stays with pets.

  • Currently all bookings can be made online through our airbnb site here : AIR BNB booking

    A 50% deposit is required for bookings over 60 days away, and the balance will be automatically collected 60 days before arrival. For bookings less than 60 days away, the payment will need to be made in full.

    The Contract is formed when:

    a). Koppla Cabins receives the Deposit or the full Booking Fees; and

    b). the Main Guest has received a confirmation email from Koppla Cabins to confirm the Booking (“Confirmation Email”).

    When the Main Guest makes a Booking with Koppla Cabins, the Main Guest agrees to the terms of this Contract. These Guest Terms and Conditions shall apply to each Additional Guest as they apply to the Main Guest. The Main Guest shall ensure that each Additional Guest complies with these Guest Terms and Conditions.

  • If you do need to cancel your stay below are our cancellation terms:

    If cancelled :

    1. more than 8 weeks prior to your stay - you will receive a full credit note or refund for the amount you have paid.

    2. less than 8 weeks prior but more than 28 days prior to your stay - we can offer you a credit note to the value what you have paid for your stay OR 30% of your booking value will be retained.

    3. 28 days or less from your stay- 100% of your booking cost will be retained unless we are able to resell your dates, in which case we can offer you a full credit note.

    We reserve the right to refuse any booking or cancel any bookings subject to refunding any sums you have paid without further liability on our behalf.

    We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the provision of the holiday is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances that amount to “force majeure”. These include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of the property through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break-in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic, pandemic and all similar situations beyond our control.

    We strongly advise guests to take out holiday cancellation insurance in advance of their trip.

  • Where possible, we will try to help you change the date of your booking if you can no longer make it, however this is entirely at the discretion of our Customer Support team and if they cannot make a change, then the standard cancellation policy will apply. All date changes must be requested more than 8 weeks in advance of the original booking, otherwise standard cancellation policy will apply.

  • For damages or breakages: Guests are advised to check the cabin & outdoor areas for any damages or breakages found at the beginning of their stay and to inform Koppla cabins of any that they find. Please let us know if anything gets broken so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacements in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear. If damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment of up to £100. Koppla cabins reserves the right to take payment from the banking details on file.

    Keys : The cost of replacing keys lost by guests is charged at £25 each.

    Cleaning : The guest is responsible for leaving the accommodation in good order, clean and tidy and in the same condition as they found the cabin on arrival when vacating, guests must remove all food items and personal belongings and follow Koppla cabins instructions about where to place rubbish etc. and return any moved inventory items to each accommodation unit or they may be liable for extra cleaning costs. If the accommodation unit is not left in an acceptable condition and Koppla cabins has to carry out extra cleaning above and beyond what they would normally expect £50 will be charged.

    It is the guest's responsibility to close windows and lock the cabins when they are not on site. Koppla cabins cannot be held responsible for the guest's personal property which is not locked away inside the cabin.

  • In order to make the stay at Koppla cabins as pleasant as possible, all guests must keep to rules of behaviour listed here, behaving in a considerate and safe manner to all people and animals onsite. To respect our neighbours we ask that there are no high noise levels after 8.00 p.m, with all noise to stop by 10.00 p.m. We do not allow amplified music or drumming.

    The fire pits/ BBQs fire bowls must be kept within the designated areas, and only wood provided/purchased from us can be used for wood burning stoves /fire bowls. Fireworks and sky lanterns are not allowed as they pose a risk of fire and are a danger to livestock.

    The cabins are NO SMOKING PROPERTIES. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cabins. Failure to comply will result in an additional fee of £400 to cover deep cleaning and re-decoration. Any guests smoking outside of the hut are responsible for fully putting out & disposing of their cigarette buts in a bin and must not litter the surrounding area.

    Car Parking : We have an area approx 150m from the cabin that can be used by a maximum of 2 cars. Any car parked here is entirely at the owners risk.

    We hope you love the natural environment as much as we do! We ask that you consider the Countryside Code including the following:

    Leave gates as you find them, closing a gate if found closed.

    Keep to public footpaths.

    Do not walk across crops (this includes long grass).

    Leave no trace on the land. We provide a variety of bins in your accommodation. There are opportunities for recycling through our labelled bin system and we are a zero-to-landfill site so our rubbish is handpicked for sorting so please be considerate in how you dispose of unpleasant items.

    If the Site Regulations are breached, in serious circumstances, we may ask you to terminate your stay without a refund.

    Please note that essential maintenance activities may be carried out on or in the accommodation during your stay without you being entitled to any compensation.

  • We try exceptionally hard to ensure your stay with us is memorable for all the right reasons, and our many returning guests testify to the excellence of our service. However, we do recognise that from to time things do go wrong. In these circumstances, it is the responsibility of the guest to make any such problem known to us immediately it becomes apparent by email to hello@kopplacabins.com hereby giving us the opportunity to correct the situation. Unless this procedure is followed, no subsequent claim will be entertained. We will make every endeavour to rectify any identified problems as soon as is reasonably possible.

  • Whilst every care is taken to provide a true and accurate description of the property on our website, in marketing and in email communications, over time alterations are made and some things do change. The holidaymaker accepts that no refunds are available for such discrepancies.

    The property owner reserves the right to enter the property, at a reasonable time, in the event of an emergency or remedial repair work being required.

    The property owner is entitled to ask the holidaymaker to leave the property without any refund if, in the property owner’s opinion, the behaviour of the holidaymaker and/or his/her party is unacceptable.

  • Kopppla cabins shall have no liability for any death or personal injury unless this results from the negligence of Koppla cabins. In addition, Koppla cabins accepts no responsibility for the safety of, or the loss or damage to the guest’s possessions (including cars or motorbikes) whilst on the Koppla cabins property or land. Exception to this is if damage or loss is caused by negligence by Koppla cabins or its employees.

  • The contract between the guest and Koppla cabins is governed by English Law. Any dispute the guest has with Koppla cabins shall be dealt with in an English Court of Law.

  • I have read the booking conditions and agree on behalf of all members of my party to abide by those conditions. I understand that any balance payments must be paid at least 8 weeks before the holiday is due to start. I am over 21 years of age.
